Accessibility
Everyone on a crew should be able to clock in, and every owner should be able to review hours, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our goal
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We design and test the website and the owner and manager app against it.
Conformance status
The WaClock website and the owner and manager app partially conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA: some parts do not fully meet the standard yet. We last reviewed them on October 20, 2026.
What we do
- Every form field has a label, and errors are announced to screen readers.
- Every action is built to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG contrast ratios.
- Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion, and the moving example on the home page has a Pause animation button.
Display settings on this site
The accessibility button at the bottom left of every page opens a few display settings:
- Text size: Large or Larger text across the site.
- High contrast: darker text, stronger borders and focus outlines.
- Underline links: every link gets an underline.
- Reduce motion: stops animations and moving content.
- Readable spacing: more space between lines, letters, words and paragraphs.
These settings change how this site looks on the device you use. They work alongside your browser zoom and your device settings, not in place of them, and Reset puts everything back.
How we test
- We run the axe-core accessibility engine on our main pages, at desktop and phone screen widths.
- We use the pages with only a keyboard, including the skip links, forms, dialogs and menus.
- We check the pages again with the display settings above turned on.
Automated tools find only part of the problems, which is why we also test by hand and why your reports matter.
More than one way to clock in
Workers can clock in on WhatsApp by sending IN to (855) 591-5011, by tapping a button on the WaClock card, or with a one-tap clock link. If one way does not work for someone, another usually will, and employers can correct any day from the timesheet.
Known limitations
- We are still testing WaClock with a full range of screen readers and voice control software.
- The worker clock link page has not had the same review as the website and the app yet.
- Display settings are saved only in the browser where you chose them. If your browser blocks site data, they last until you leave the page.
- The settings change this website and the app, not WhatsApp chats, which follow the settings on your phone.
- Photos and the sample chat pictures on the home page keep their own colors.
